Langeloh LgL-x
Computer Machines for Office
& Industrial Settings
CONCEPT
The Langeloh
line of computers conceived by Binary is meant to respond to the needs
for more appropriate computer hardware for commercial and corporate
offices as well as industrial settings for the current times.
These computers
feature a very small footprint whereby the
computer CPU box is not sitting on a desk top but remains attached to
the back of the Monitor. Yet this miniature
CPU box is a powerful 64-bit dual-core processor (most cases) that has nothing to
envy from the larger tower type CPU box otherwise occupying valuable
desktop space.
In addition these
computer stations are absolutely noiseless.
With no noisy power supply. No noisy CPU chip with a large fan gathering
dust and polluting the quietness of the workplace atmosphere with noise.
Where that quality comes into play even more significantly is when you
have an open space with a multitude of desktop computers.
Power consumption of
the Langeloh machines is kept to a minimum, the machine not
consuming in most cases more than 80 Watts, as opposed to the 300-Watt
rating of a regular Tower CPU box. This low power consumption level
makes them extremely suitable for learning centers as computer banks for
instance, aside from their noiseless quality. And even for industrial
locations where power might be at a
premium.
By default, the
Langeloh machine does not purposely carry any CD/DVD reader/writer.
In doing so it caters to the ubiquitous flash
drive technology and the omnipresent availability of
network download which in this day and age
have made bulky media for data storage much less of a necessity and more
a thing of the past. Everything you can do on a CD ROM drive you can do
on a USB flash drive. Yet if you must have a CD/DVD writer you may
quickly attach an optional external USB CD/DVD Writer to one of
Langeloh's USB ports.
In addition, the absence of CD ROM drive,
the neat and stealth location of the machine's CPU box behind the
monitor, the inaccessibility of ports for undesirable connection of
peripherals are all intended features that play to the restrictions most
business owners and administrators seek to imprint to an
employee's machine. The Langeloh machines call for productivity.
Further these
machines feature a large array of ports of
all kinds so most peripherals that are common to commercial and
industrial environments (commerce equipments like POS barcode readers,
industrial data acquisition interfaces...) may be attached to
the machine.
The Langeloh
client, desktop and micro server are almost as
light of a machine as a laptop computer. They easily
lend themselves to be moved and are very convenient as mobile desktop
stations, i.e. to salespersons who go from one sales/product expo to
another and need a solid mobile machine with attachable peripherals to follow
them.
